TABLE OF CONTENTS
There are two ways to add new Apps on the platform:
- Create a new App
- Import a file with an App definition
Creating a New App
In this section, you will create a new application within the platform.
To create a new app:
- From the CafeX Home Screen, click the Create a new App button.
- Click Create an App.
- Enter an App name and, optionally, a Description.
- Select a suitable icon and color for your App. These choices determine how the App appears on your home screen and for any App users that have access to it.
- Click Add.
After adding your App, CafeX takes you to the newly created App Details page, where you can edit the details or proceed with further App configuration.
Importing a File
In this section, you will import a file with an App definition to add a new application.
When you import an App, CafeX creates a new App based on the provided export file. The imported App keeps the same settings and services as the original App at the time of export. However, it does not retain any App Studio permissions from the original App, so these permissions should be managed separately.
Important: Only import App configurations from trusted sources. Imported Apps may include services that rely on user-specific settings or resources and may invoke external services. Always review the contents of the App export file thoroughly before importing it.
To import a file:
- From the CafeX Home Screen, click the Create a new App button.
- Click Import from a file.
- Select the file and click Open.
- Enter an App name and click Add.
After importing the App, CafeX takes you to the newly created App Details page, where you can edit the details or proceed with further App configuration.
