Hardware Requirements
A client connecting to CafeX must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Intel Core i3 processor or equivalent, or later
(3rd generation core, Sandy Bridge, January 2011) - 4 GB of RAM
Browser and Device Support
CafeX supports the following browsers and operating systems:
Desktop devices | Chrome | Current release and the three previous versions. |
Firefox | Current release and the three previous versions. | |
Safari | Latest version available for the current macOS release, plus the two previous versions. | |
Edge | Current release and the three previous versions. | |
Mobile devices | Android Chrome | All supported versions (currently Android 13 and higher). |
iOS Safari | All supported versions (currently iOS 15 and higher). |

Access is required to the following ports and domains:

Voice and Video
CafeX includes a Meeting component (found in the Comms & Media section) that enables voice and video calls powered by Zoom. To ensure smooth performance and video quality, your system should meet the following Zoom requirements:
Bandwidth (minimum):
1:1 video calls:
- For high-quality video: 600 kbps (up/down)
- For 720p HD video: 1.2 Mbps (up/down)
- For 1080p HD video: 3.8 Mbps (up/down)
Group video calls:
- For high-quality video: 1.0 Mbps (up/down)
- For 720p HD video: 2.6 Mbps (up/down)
- For 1080p HD video: 3.8 Mbps (up/down)
Processor requirements:
- For 720p video: Dual-core 2.0 GHz or higher (Intel i3/i5/i7 or AMD equivalent)
- For 1080p video: Quad-core processor recommended
Memory:
Minimum: 4 GB RAM
Recommended: 16 GB RAM for HD video or multitasking
Webcam:
Integrated or USB webcam (720p minimum recommended)
